Graduated from Sophia University, Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science and Engineering. While in college, he had an internship at Procter & Gamble. After graduating from university, he worked for the Japanese subsidiary of a major British chemical company and for a major patent firm in Tokyo for about 12 years, and also worked for a medium-sized patent firm in Yokohama for about 12 years. His technical areas of correspondence are mechanics and chemistry in general.
