Arashi, currently on hiatus, has established a new company named “Arashi Inc.” within the former Johnny’s Office, now “STARTO ENTERTAINMENT.” This marks a new beginning for the five members of Arashi, announced as a “preparation for the future” and seen as a step towards their comeback. Takashi Shionomiya, president of the film production company “Starsands,” has been appointed as the representative director of this new company.
Takashi Shionomiya is a lawyer with strengths in entertainment, IT, and copyright business. He also serves as the president and CEO of Starsands. Notably, he led the legal team to a victorious reversal in the lawsuit over the grant non-payment for the movie “From Miyamoto to You” (2019), earning high praise for his leadership.
Looking at Shionomiya’s career, he graduated from Keio University’s Faculty of Economics and passed the bar exam while working as a TV director. He registered as a lawyer in 2003. Since then, he has become well-versed in the entertainment industry and has dedicated himself to protecting creators’ rights.
